Summer YAH!
SPACESHIPS AND CADILLACS©
"Ever look for more insight on your favorite artist? I often listened to Mos Def, Lauryn Hill and Outkast and wondered what their creative processes were. Who did they hang out with? What kind of music did they enjoy? This section and other parts of Jhandoe.com are designed to keep YOU, the listener, informed on my processes. What do YOU dream about? Send me a text message. What inspires you in a hip-hop record? I want "Spaceships and Cadillacs" to represent that. Young man, young woman, what is your greatest fear? Let's get some real talk. Engage this lifelong conversation.'
'Marianne Williamson said it best, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

The DISCOGRAPHY:
NEW Music
I find it difficult to not give you a monologue about every track and how they came about. Firstly, I express gratitide for the homie Sevin doing the banger "State of Mind." The reason why that's so important is because it took years to get this album done. My brother (Rest in Peace Nick/Knotice Hymn) and I decided long before he passed away to make sure we had him featured here. Momma Gina encouraged me to not quit, to continue the vision and do what we loved: make impact music.
Deliver You Over Pain contains the remnants of Nick's essence and the orginal song we wrote "I L.O.V.E. G.O.D." This song will forever hold importance to me because of how big this man lived as a testimony to overcoming drugs and so many other life challenges. Kuntry Bwoiiy Pt. 2 came about because I'm living in Durango, Colorado and folk out here represent a small percentage of American south ya'll never see. "Special" goes out to growth between a man and woman. This album represents our fighting spirit to continue on to find Illumination even in great darkness.

© Blunt Force Trauma
The very first internationally available album after years of hard work and 10 other studio albums/mixtapes, Blunt Force trauma has so much significance because of where Jhan Doe was at the time in his life. Having suffered through a few losses, struggling personally to find his way, the best way sometimes to express yourself is with aggression. Still one of the most aggressive Christian hip hop albums to date. Available on iTunes.

Front page-Hustlin' TreezThe most diverse and possibly most sonically creative hip hop album. Rare to find now. |
MASQUERADEAlso an extremely sonically diverse album. Really took a lot from the era, but created a whole new platform akin to that of Outkast. |

The Skinny
Very few artists work or have worked as hard as Jhan Doe. Even fewer venture out to make their own way without major label distribution or marketing.
Even fewer succeed in staying around as long. The key ingredients? Desire. Compassion. Heart. Faith.
What lesson do you learn? Be unafraid of mistakes. Take charge of your life and your craft and decide that when the doors close, the lights turn out and everyone else goes home, that you work harder longer. This music will stand the test of time simply because it refuses the entrapments of major label and major radio formulas.
Most listeners appreciate originality and genuine care for the craft that pounds ear drums. Welcome to the experience and thank you for enduring this long journey to finally see success and watch the world change one rain drop at a time. Godbleshya.
